Raila Odinga's youngest son Raila Junior has claimed that reports saying that Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua was used and dumped by retired President Mwai Kibaki are true.
The former Justice and Constitutional minister defended President Kibaki during turbulent times in 2007 after opposition leader Raila Odinga claimed of being rigged.
Later, the two found themselves in the same government following an AU brokered peace deal that saw Raila becoming Prime Minister while Karua holding the ministerial portfolio.
In an interview on Sunday, Karua admitted that she was letdown later on by President Mwai Kibaki, although she later claimed that she was misquoted.
"On Sunday, speaking exclusively to Anne Kiguta on K24’s Punchline, Ms Karua makes explosive revelations on how former president Mwai Kibaki used her to defend his controversial 2007 election only to isolate her after securing his win," K24 reported on Sunday.
But in a tweet, a sarcastic Mr Odinga Junior insisted that Karua was used and dumped, adding that she never questioned Kibaki's loyalty to her.
"Lol yes she was the barking pitbull, but never questioned her masters loyalty to her," said Junior, who nowadays runs his father's errands.
But in the interview, Ms Karua, who ran for presidency in 2013, said should she find Raila Odinga and DP William Ruto's names on ballot in 2022, she will vote the former.
Karua ran unsuccessfully for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat after losing to former Devolution minister Ann Waiguru.
