Alexina Osoro, 35, was attacked by unknown goons who raped and beat her

The attack left her with injuries.

She was rushed to hospital in Kisii where she has been hospitalized for five days.

Unfortunately, on Saturday, she lost her life while in the hospital.

The attack is said to have happened at Riomweri Village, Keumbu in Kisii county when the trader was returning home from her business.

Her eldest daughter Milker Bikeri said she did not understand the mystery behind her mother's death.

"The death of our mother was so sudden. We even don't know the reason behind her deadly attack. When she closed her business on Monday, she met goons who attacked her but today succumbed to the injuries inflicted on her," Milcah said.

Since Monday, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the atrocity that was committed.

They are in Kisii Central Police Station as they await charges.

"I want to appreciate the OCS Keumbu for the nice work they are doing. Up to now, they have arrested three suspects. I pray the blood of my sister to haunt them till they all surrender themselves to the police," another family member who requested for anonymity said.
