Uasin Gishu billionaire businessman cum politician Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki has named corruption as the main problem in the country.
In a tweet on Thursday, Buzeki seemed to dismiss ongoing push for a constitutional change through a referendum.
He said: "Our problem is NOT the CONSTITUTION. CORRUPTION IS...STOP this OSTRICH shenanigans YA kuficha KICHWA. All CORRUPT politicians WILL fall in 2022."
Buzeki's sentiments come at a time when there has been intensified fight against graft with several top government officials having been arrested and charged among them Henry Rotich who was the Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu and his wife were also arrested over of Sh588 million irregular tender.
On the referendum, Thirdway Alliance party is seeking the support of the County Assemblies after its Punguza Mizigo Bill was approved by the IEBC.
The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which finalized its public sittings on Friday is also expected to propose a constitutional change to address various issues the nation is facing.
Buzeki who unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in 2017 general elections recently switched camp from Jubilee party to Chama Cha Mashinani, a vehicle he is expected to use in his second bid for the top county seat in 2022.
