Kenya Methodist University orphaned student Maureen Odhiambo has revealed her progress over Sh70, 000 school fee appeal.

She had last week, requested well-wishers to support her clear the outstanding fee balance.

In an exclusive interview with Hivisasa on Wednesday, Maureen said she has so far collected Sh5, 700 through a WhatsApp group. Although this is not enough, Adhiambo who is pursuing a degree in Applied Biology appreciated everyone who has come in her support. 

"I am happy for what I have received so far. I thank Hivisasa.com for highlighting my story. I do hope and pray that the people with a good heart will continue to contribute to enable me to clear my fee," Adhiambo stated.

Adhiambo who lost her parents at a tender age and deferred for two semesters now feels determined and has hope that God shall open ways for her. The young student who hails from Ugunja in Siaya County pleaded with local politicians to support her.

 "I hope my cry will touch someone's heart especially local politicians. Education is the only thing I know shall make my future bright," she said 

KeMU Dean of Students Jeff Kubai Ikiamba confirmed Adhiambo is a needy student and she is currently in session.
