National Super Alliance (NASA) Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya has recounted horrible moments in his life, pointing out at the recent heart attack that saw him hospitalised.
The firebrand politician was hospitalised in April this year, prompting his boss Raila Odinga to pay him a courtesy call at Nairobi Hospital.
ODM party in a statement said: "H.E. Raila Odinga visits Norman Magaya at Nairobi Hospital’s HDU and wishes him well and quick recovery."
Having recovered, Magaya on Monday said the attack completely changed his lifestyle besides messing up with his finances. He said he had learnt lessons.
According to Magaya, who was appointed a board member of the Kenya Films and Classification Board, his insurance cover 'became completely useless'.
"Nothing puts your life on a freeze like a heart attack! Complete lifestyle change ! Your medical insurance cover becomes a big joke! Your finances get completely messed up. I have learnt tough lessons. But hey am a son of God ! I will overcome," he said.
Mr Magaya is one of the closest allies of Mr Odinga, a move that cost him a nomination to the East African Legislative Assembly due to animosity with Jubilee in 2017.
On Sunday, he accused Deputy President William Ruto of sponsoring articles in local dailies, a move which he said aims at creating a non existent narrative.
"William Ruto sponsors a Sunday nation headline about a non existent @RailaOdinga candidature then proceeds to respond to it with fake conditions. Witchcraft is real . A career build through looting knows no legitimate route to public authority," he claimed.
