Tottenham Hotspur Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama’s goal against Liverpool is in contention for the Spurs goal of the decade.
The Kenyan international came on as a late substitute replacing former Spurs midfield kingpin Moussa Dembele before unleashing a thunderbolt in the 80th minute in a match played on February 04, 2018, at Liverpool’s home turf of Anfield.
The English Premier League match ended 2-2.
“That was one of the best goals I've ever scored. I just reacted before the Liverpool players. I thought I'd just let it go because the ball was bouncing and I didn't want to think too much. And I just let it fly,” Wanyama said in a past interview.
The goal won him the English Premier League Goal of the Month of February in 2018 and the Tottenham Hotspur goal of the 2017/2018 Premier League season.
