Bodies of two were found on Wednesday dawn by fishermen at the Indian Ocean waterfront.

It is said the two were riding the motorcycle for fun only to sink into the ocean.

Police only recouped money and muguka from the bodies while their motorcycle was discovered a few metres from the end of the jetty.

Bystanders supposed that the victims had intoxicated themselves when the tragedy transpired.

The victims' bodies were discovered 400 metres away from the jetty with one body being covered by seaweeds, giving the officers as well as the member of the public a hard time trying to retrieve it.

Malindi Subcounty Police boss Vitalis Otieno confirmed the incident.

''The two men could have discovered too late that they had reached the end of the jetty as they tried to apply brakes,'' he said, according to the Star.

Police say there were skiddy streaks sighted nearly two metres from the jetty an indication that they attempted to stop the motorcycle to no avail.

The police boss warned motorcycle riders and the general public who use the jetty to be careful.

Bodies were taken to Malindi sub-county hospital mortuary for autopsy and the motorcycle was transported to Malindi Police Station.
