The twins were separated in 1999 at the county's health facility, only for them to reunite again after 19 years through social media.

Sharon and Melon have said they will not sue the hospital nor ask for any form of compensation.

Speaking to the press on Monday, the twins said they have forgiven the hospital. They also thanked all those who stood with them during their journey if finding truth about their identity.

“Kakamega hospital we forgive you and we are not going to sue; we are not going to ask for any type of compensation. I want to thank all who have been helping us in this journey,” said Melon as quoted by Citizen.

Earlier reports indicated that the twins' parents had said they will be suing the hospital for the hospital for negligence.

The move by the twins have been received differently. Some Kenyans are saying the move by the twins is not well-thought, saying the hospital should have been forced to pay for the negligence.

Others said the move will earn the family respect, which is more important to the family than wealth.
