This is after Siaya Senator James Orengo asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to compel his deputy to record a statement with the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over alleged loss of billions meant for construction of two dams in the Rift Valley region.

Speaking during a rally in Ugenya Constituency on Saturday, Orengo vowed to force Ruto to report to DCI what he knows about the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal if Uhuru goes slow on the matter.

"If the President doesn't make Ruto record a statement to clarify his remarks, I, Aggrey Orengo, will make him record a statement with the police," the Senator said while campaigning for ODM candidate in the forthcoming Ugenya parliamentary seat by-election.

Orengo said the DP must explain where he got Sh7 billion as the amount of money lost in the controversial dams saga.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich has contradicted his boss as he maintains the amount in question is Sh20 billion.

However, Kabogo has said the Jubilee deputy party leader should not carry all the blame and, therefore, there was no need to be summoned by the DCI.

"Jimi (James Orengo)! How will you make him record a statement? And why. Corruption is widespread. Ruto is not corruption and corruption is not Ruto. We need a revolution. Now!" the former Kiambu boss tweeted on Sunday.

Kabogo further asked politicians not to use the war against corruption as a weapon against the DP.
