Kakamega children believed to have been brainwashed and abducted by controversial Malindi preacher Paul Mackenzie returned to their homes.
K24 reported on Friday that the children returned home on Thursday, almost a month after they went missing.
However, only three out of the four children returned.
The three, Brian Mutimba (13), Ian Mukhungu (13) and Victor Malechi (10) revealed that they were praying for Jesus's return in a forest in Malindi, Kilifi County.
Their eldest brother, Felix Ndeta, 23, did not return home as he ran away on the way home.
Speaking to K24 Digital on Friday, the children's parents, Benson Mutimba and Esther Shiwatso, said that their firstborn son, Ndeta was the one who introduced his brothers to the 'cult.'
They noted that he found out about the preacher through a TV Channel.
The parents condemned the pastor for making their children and other children believe that education is bad.
“He made our children believe that education is evil and that the world would come to an end in 2024,” Shiwatso said as quoted by K24.
She has now expressed her concerns for her eldest son, who again ran away while in Nakuru on their way home.
“I am worried about my eldest child, I hope he comes home safely,” she noted.
